A Wonderful Mild English
July 11, 2019
Product: Drucquer & Sons Prince's Blend 100g
My first bowl out of a newly opened tin was not enjoyable. The tobaccos were too moist and it needed some air. I put the tin away for three weeks and let it air before my second bowl. The second bowl was delicious. Burley and virginia compose the maj... Read More
ority of the blend, with a delicate dose of latakia and perique added. I can taste just a light touch of perique in every puff, but the latakia is further in the background. The black cavendish adds smoothness, but is not evident in the taste. Prince's Blend burns cool and dry from beginning to end and leaves a delicate taste on the tongue. This is a light English with flavor. It is composed of quality tobaccos and is a masterful composition for those who enjoy milder blends. I'm one of them. Read Less

I was surprised with this blend. Not usually being a big Virginia smoker although I do have Dunhill EMP as part of my rotation. This is a sweet virginia that has a consistant good flavor of grass and sweetness. Not a bite in the bowl. Ther is a faint... Read More
hint of latakia and perique which keeps you on your toes. The aroma does not lay around after you are done like an old wet cigarette which Virignia generally will do. It is a little pricey but worth it, I let the tin sit for about three weeks with the cap on
after I popped the
tin open.
Good choice for a change on my part. Somked in my new Il Dura Pipe from Who else Smoking pipes. Hey guys put some goodies in the bag like the other pipe site do.
Anyway a top shelf Place Read Less

Tin note of Rasins, sour plums and sugar. Tobacco is Ribbon cut of orangish tan and brown with a little black mixed in. Moisture content is great. Burns moderate with few relights. The strength is mild to medium and nic is mild. No flavoring detected... Read More
. Taste is mild to medium and mostly consistent, with notes of bread, floral, Rasin, nutty, spices, woody, peaty vegetation, sugar, molasses, savory, citrus peel/zest, spicy/acidic, lemon grass, mildly bitter, sour fermented vinegary, a tart and tangy stewed fruit background note, and a peppery retro. Virginia is leading with Burley and Perique supporting. Latakia and Cavendish cheer from the stands. Room note is pleasant to tolerable, and aftertaste is great. Read Less

Product: Drucquer & Sons Prince's Blend 100g
To me this blend is a very light and mild English with a slight smooth pepper in the nose to keep it from being too mild.
High quality tobaccos, good burn.
Recommend to all Enthusiasts and all newcomers.
This blend is easy to enjoy.
Might need another try

Just received my tin today and couldn’t wait to try it. I believe my mistake was that I tried it in a brand new pipe.
A little disappointing. It was a Ropp J04. Multiple re-lights and really no flavor to speak of. Perhaps I should of used an older P... Read More

Having smoked all the blends in the Drucquer & Son's lineup form G.L. Pease. This one, Loch Ness, Trafalger and Blagowrie are the better blends. It's six half-dozen to the other depending on your own particular tastes and which family you prefer. I w... Read More
ouldn't say these are my go to blends, I won't give up what those are, but these are definitely among my fall back blends while I'm waiting for a restock. Don't get me wrong, these are worth having, not a waste of money by any stretch. They're the Toyota Corolla of Tobaccos. Reliable and precise. Read Less

Product: Drucquer & Sons Prince's Blend 100g
Wonderful blend, tastes a lot like EMP but more intense, the grass has just the right amount of dry moisture, and it's ready to smoke right out of the can. Perfect as an all-day mix.

A Unique Light English Blend
April 08, 2020
Product: Drucquer & Sons Prince's Blend 100g
As with most light English blends, the Virginas take the lead, with a citrusy, hay notes from the brights. The Burley is a nice addition that makes this blend unlike others, with an addition of a nutty-molasses note that is always evident, even in th... Read More
e tin aroma. The latakia brings through the its smoky character, though it might be lighter percentage than other light English blends like EMP, John Cotton #1, or Chelsea Morning. The Perique is very condimental, occasionally showing itself through a hint of dark fruit and pepperiness.
All in all, a solid blend, offering quality leaf and uniqueness compared to other light English blends. It isnt a top choice in its department for me nor is it a favorite among GL Pease blends but still enjoyable. Read Less
