About This Pipe Tobacco

Drucquer & Sons tobacco shop in Berkley, California, was more than just a tobacconist; it was a community. It was where some of the greatest tobacco-blenders in recent memory — like Charl Ehwa of McClelland and Gregory Pease of G.L. Pease — first plunged their hands into flagrant tobacco. The historic shop may be gone, but its rich history and brand of pipe tobaccos continues, reformulated from their original recipes by Gregory Pease (and made by Cornell & Diehl) for the modern smoker.

Prince's Blend is a quality pipe tobacco on the subtler side of English mixtures, comprising a generous portion of Red Virginias with a high sugar content, a hint of Latakia, a touch of Burley, and finally seasoned with just enough Perique to smooth the smoke and provide an engaging, fruity spice. Prince's Blend has a delicate taste and aroma — perfect as an all-day English blend.

Product: Drucquer & Sons Prince's Blend 100g
Tin note of Rasins, sour plums and sugar. Tobacco is Ribbon cut of orangish tan and brown with a little black mixed in. Moisture content is great. Burns moderate with few relights. The strength is mild to medium and nic is mild. No flavoring detected. Taste is mild to medium and mostly consistent, with notes of bread, floral, Rasin, nutty, spices, woody, peaty vegetation, sugar, molasses, savory, citrus peel/zest, spicy/acidic, lemon grass, mildly bitter, sour fermented vinegary, a tart and tangy stewed fruit background note, and a peppery retro. Virginia is leading with Burley and Perique supporting. Latakia and Cavendish cheer from the stands. Room note is pleasant to tolerable, and aftertaste is great....Read More

Product: Drucquer & Sons Prince's Blend 100g
To me this blend is a very light and mild English with a slight smooth pepper in the nose to keep it from being too mild.
High quality tobaccos, good burn.
Recommend to all Enthusiasts and all newcomers.
This blend is easy to enjoy.
Might need another try

Product: Drucquer & Sons Prince's Blend 100g
Just received my tin today and couldn’t wait to try it. I believe my mistake was that I tried it in a brand new pipe.
A little disappointing. It was a Ropp J04. Multiple re-lights and really no flavor to speak of. Perhaps I should of used an older Peterson or a GBD. So, I have put it up for now
and will give it another go in 6-8 months....Read More

Product: Drucquer & Sons Prince's Blend 200g
Having smoked all the blends in the Drucquer & Son's lineup form G.L. Pease. This one, Loch Ness, Trafalger and Blagowrie are the better blends. It's six half-dozen to the other depending on your own particular tastes and which family you prefer. I wouldn't say these are my go to blends, I won't give up what those are, but these are definitely among my fall back blends while I'm waiting for a restock. Don't get me wrong, these are worth having, not a waste of money by any stretch. They're the Toyota Corolla of Tobaccos. Reliable and precise....Read More

Product: Drucquer & Sons Prince's Blend 100g
Wonderful blend, tastes a lot like EMP but more intense, the grass has just the right amount of dry moisture, and it's ready to smoke right out of the can. Perfect as an all-day mix.
