What I particularly appreciate is that it tastes unequivocally of tobacco. There is nothing artificial, confectionary, or intrusive about it. Each element seems to know its place, and as the bowl progresses the flavours unfold gradually rather than announcing themselves all at once. One notices different nuances almost from puff to puff.
For me, this is precisely what good pipe tobacco ought to be: something that accompanies thought rather than distracts from it. g was so effortless that it would have lit perfectly on first light had it not been for my habit to do a couple false lights and light tamps.
