Since H.U. Got released in the states, it’s been a large portion of what I’ve been smoking this year. Louisiana is among my favorites and I’ve already been through a few tins. Considering they’re all 3.5oz cans, the pricing is very good too. When it’s in stock, it is worth trying if you like Virginias, Vapers… they’re a bit like Rattray’s where they play with a few ingredients in different amounts but all are good. This is blend that sounded right up my alley so when I heard HU was coming out I knew this would be the first one I had to get. This blend is vibrant enough to throw in a cob and puff away with each component having its moment to grab your attention. This blend is also great if you want to sit and pay attention to it. It is worth the time to sit with it and take your time. While each component provides its typical notes the sweet and tangy fruits from the Virginia's the plummy spice from the perique and the woodsy smokiness from the Kentucky are all there. There is also a really interesting creaminess that comes through almost more similar to a cigar creaminess than I have found in other similar blends. When you employ quality tobaccos the chances are pretty good that you're going to get superior blends. Such is the case here! The Virginias used in this blend are upper tier--very rich and very flavorful. I've only smoked about half of a 100gm tin over the course of a couple of weeks, but it's enough to convince me that this belongs with some of my other favorites.
This is a variation on a VAPER simply because it adds Dark-Fired Kentucky (DFK) to go along with the Virginias and Perique. For me, the DFK displays more personality in this blend than the Perique, but the DFK it's not so strong that it smothers the Perique as sometimes happens in other blends using these components. You can still readily taste the Perique. Nevertheless, there's a pretty fair amount of wood smoke. The strength is a 5-6 out of 10 for strength and a 6-7 out of 10 for taste and flavor. It does display a very slight rough edge, but I believe that that is primarily due to the DFK. Otherwise, a truly exceptional blend overall and very worthwhile.

This blend is no joke. Well balanced with plenty of flavor. Very smooth with a little more strength than your average vaper due to the Kentucky. Will be buying a lot more of this stuff!

The ordinary Virginia in the first section, Perique and Burley began to work hard in the middle section. The nutty flavor with spicy pepper flavor mixed with sweet jam gives people an unparalleled experience, which is very good.
