I can't begin to say how happy I am that this has returned. Exact same as the Dunhill blend. It's been a long wait, but worth it. I hope they bring the bulk back!

e smoked it, and really loved it. Room note for some people find it a bit smokey, and or stinky, but I don't give a frogs fat ass. I'll just take me and my pipe outside, or a difrent location, and enjoy my 965. I believe in being concidernt to non smokers. Read Less

My favorite to date, this robust, earthy blend of Cavendish, Oriental, and Latakia is surprisingly smokable. Tin notes of campfire and leather come to mind. A very enjoyable smoke with full flavor but not harsh.

I stocked up on the original 965 blend..this one is not as good as the older ones. This current tin is not as strong as before. When comparing my stock and the Peterson brand it was obvious the new was not as good. So Sad.

s the leaf you appreciate the most, but Orientals just aren't my thing. The Latakia is slight and the cavendish tends to overwhelm at times. But make no mistake, the Orientals are out front and herbaceous, spicy, sour and musty. Cavendish is a funny thing: in proper proportion it can pull a mixture together and spread flavors. If not adequately apportioned, it will result in an empty, dank and hollow mixture, which is what has happened here in 965. Nicotine is 1 out of 5. Read Less

sh with mellowing out the smoky Latakia in this blend, and rendering it—while still technically full-bodied—not quite as full-bodied as it could have been. The strength or Vitamin N-punch is lighter than what you’ll find in Peterson’s Nightcap, and certainly in Cornell & Diehl’s Super Balkan. I feel that this blend grows on me further with each bowl. I vow to keep it cellared for as long as I can hold out, to find just how much better it can become. alse comparison. I was judging fresh new Peterson 965 against very well-aged and, actually, rather dry Dunhill. To be sure there was no comparison. The aged and dried Dunhill was, for my taste, exceedingly superior to the fresh batch of Peterson. Did the Dunhill, when fresh, taste the same as the Peterson? And, am I simply judging fresh versus aged tobacco? I'll have to come back to this in a few of years, God willing, in order to know the truth. In the meantime, I hesitate to stock up. Dunhill MM 965 was my first foray into English blends, back in the early 90's in the lobby of the Barclay Rex store across from Grand Central Terminal in NYC. That store is long gone, now. It would be a shame if the pleasure of experiencing delicious MM 965 were now gone, as well. Read Less

I've been trying different tinned blends lately to expand from the house blends I've gotten from the local tobacconist. The reviews here have been helpful. I've found some that I will buy regularly. This one is definitely not for me. Your mileage may vary. Read Less

This is a must try for someone looking to get into English blend's. Well balanced, does not get harsh or bite. The cut is perfect and loads great. Smokes dry and cool. It doesn't get better than this.

My first tin of Peterson 965 is still not as good as my Dunhill brand
still not as strong as before..I think I got a bad tin. Comparing both blends the Dunhill smells stronger and deeper then the Peterson and smokers better too
