About This Pipe

Talented Greek artisan Chris Asteriou began crafting pipes in 2007, drawing on his background in industrial design and architecture. Asteriou's designs draw from a range of influences, from classic Anglo-French designs to the unique Freehands of Danish pipe making. However, it's his clean line work, keen eye for proportions, and flawless engineering that make his work distinctly his own.

This bent Egg is a striking example of his craftsmanship, though it offers a more unconventional interpretation of the classic shape than many of his traditionally inspired designs. The bowl is broad at its base, tapering gradually as it cants forward toward a gently sloping rim. A low-set shank continues the composition, narrowing to a flared boxwood accent before giving way to a sleek tapered stem. The stummel wears a deep sandblast that beautifully highlights dense, stacked growth rings across the bowl's full, rounded flanks, adding a rich texture.
