About This Pipe

Based in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, Jerry Zenn spent more than two decades as an automotive mechanic before turning his talents to artisan pipe making. His background fostered a keen aptitude for precision craftsmanship, problem solving, and machining, making the transition to briar a natural progression. Rising rapidly to international acclaim, Zenn has become one of East Asia's foremost pipe makers, celebrated for his organically inspired compositions, meticulous engineering, and discerning attention to detail.

Measuring less than five inches in length, this Rhodesian loads an impressive amount of visual presence into a compact, travel-friendly package. The robust bowl is wrapped by a single beadline at its broad waist, elegantly separating the upper bowl's gentle taper toward the rim from the lower bowl's gradual taper to a subtly lifted heel. Out back, a low-set transition gives way to a gently rising, abbreviated shank, which is extended by a flaring section of horn accented with a trim boxwood band. A jet-black vulcanite saddle stem provides handsome contrast against the warm, natural tones of the horn and briar, while a crisp, finely executed sandblast draws out rippling growth rings and rugged grain across the stummel.
