About This Pipe
Claudio Cavicchi's impressive career in pipemaking spans over half a century. With such extensive experience, it is no surprise that the Italian pipemaker has been able to hone his abilities to a legendary status. This bent Dublin is graded Perla, one of Cavicchi's rarest grades given to only the most stellar pipes bordering on perfection. A deep forward cant and a long, sweeping front wall streaked with straight grain have the bowl surging ahead of the rest of the pipe. Said bowl is moderately elliptical in shape with thick, insulating walls that encircle a modest chamber. Upon emerging from the depths of this chamber, we arrive at a rim bedecked with thick clusters of mesa-like plateau. The shank swells subtly out of a parabolic transition marked by a spur at its bottom side, passing through twin black accents at its aft before reaching a face whose stylish slant emphasizes the pipe's forward-urging motion. A gorgeous smooth finish and chestnut stain show off the dense grain billowing about the stummel.
