About This Pipe

Wotjek Pastuch is a renowned Polish carver whose portfolio spans a wide range of shapes. While his pipes come in a variety of silhouettes, they all share an unmistakably Danish influence — likely the result of Pastuch's mentorship under Tom Eltang. With its sleek, elegant proportions and refined finishing, this Belge certainly bespeaks the artisan's affinity for the Danish style.

This charming piece presents with a trim, energetic silhouette. The elongated, Egg-shaped bowl joins a lithe shank-and-stem arrangement, with the former displaying dramatic, forward-urging posture while the latter remains sleek and arrow-straight. A craggy sandblast dresses the stummel, rendering the briar's dense growth rings in high relief and offering an exceptionally stimulating texture in hand. A celluloid accent band adorns the shank, its mossy hues complementing the earthy look and feel of the dark, ruby-tinged sandblast. The piece is completed by a sleekly tapered vulcanite stem, whose widely flared fishtail bit offers a comfortable clench.
