Peterson - Flake 50g
It's OK
Not as good as expected. Expected tin note. The basics of what you expect for a pure VA flake. As for value, there are better VA flakes for 20% less and an equal at half price. Buy it again, yes, in a pinch but not on my shopping list with so many others better at significantly less.

Awesome at the price point
A nice flake Virginia. Nothing to write home about, but what do you expect at the price. Nonetheless, good to have around. Flakes are easily cubed and gravity fed. Smoke it slow for greatest enjoyment. For me, a good conversation tobacco as there weren't all the nuances of other, albeit more expensive, pure VA flakes. Great for breaking in pipes.

A good honest smoke
Burley fans will like this tobacco. I'm not a fan, but enjoyed this tin. Moist dark flakes that cube and rub out well. Some might want to let it dry or an hour or more. I am able to smoke it immediately. I find that for me, I enjoyed it best in an 80s, bent bulldog. This gave me a good 40 minute or more smoke. Also smoked it in an XL02 and it was great in that size bowl as well.

Not what it used to be by a long shot
Very coarse cut and not well blended. Wads of latakia needing cutting with sissors and then mixing the lot in a valet before storing in a mason jar. The initial light in the bowl bring forth expectations of what this blend used to be. And while hope springs eternal throughout the bowl, the tongue bite kicks in making for an unpleasant overal experience. I'll revisit in a couple of years hoping that STG finally gets the recipe right, but for now, this is not on my shopping list.

Pure Virginia goodness
I smoked a tin of some that was processed in 2022 a couple months back. Did not notice the delicate Pear casing others mention. Could be due to being in the bottle for too long. Hence a revisit with a tin of fresh. Awesome tin note. I sence VAs differently that others ... I get the hay sort of like a hayloft in the fall. Lots of tobacco barn and Tennessee Walking Horse trainer's stable with notes of cracked grains and freshly wasked horse. Some saddle leatger as well. An honest smoke. Getcha self some and enjoy it slow. I clip it into half cm cubes and gravity load my pipe.

Excellent Smoke
This is entering my pure Virgina rotation. Everything one expects in a Virginia and them some. Not your typical flake, but it easily loads even without rubbing out or cutting, although I do clip it with sissors for my thinner chimneys like a 304/20FB. Smoke it slow, sip it for ultimate enjoyment.
