Onyx Coffee Lab was founded in Rogers, Arkansas, in 2012 as a specialty coffee roaster but has grown significantly over the years through its mantra: "Never Settle for Good Enough." A solid decade or so of hard work and hardware taken home from the U.S. Coffee Championships brought the company to where it is today, forming partnerships in multiple countries on multiple continents to find, roast, and serve quality, sustainable coffee while operating several cafes throughout northwest Arkansas. Their headquarters location in downtown Rogers was named the best coffee shop in the world in 2026.

Specially developed to work well with milk of all kinds, Onyx's Monarch blend is an expressive dark roast with notes of molasses, red wine, dried berries, and dark chocolate. The beans for this mixed-varietal roast were sourced from Colombia and Ethiopia and wet-processed for a rich, decadent flavor. The roasters at Onyx Coffee recommend this blend for drip and espresso brewing in particular.
