Honestly, wasn’t that impressed with the regular incarnation of Plum Pudding, but this stuff is heavenly. That touch of bourbon flavor is absolutely divine, and turns a (IMO) rather mediocre blend, into something truly special.

The tin doesn't come with the cube of wood from the barrel in this new patch. I can hardly smell the bourbon. Huge disappointment, but it's still good because it's plum pudding. Cornell&Diehl dropped the ball. Sutliff did it better.

Absolutely amazing from start to finish. Nicotine really came in strong at the last half. Dense deep stone fruit flavor kept getting more interesting as the bowl progressed. Tastes like silky prune Kuchen for those familiar. Don't pass on this!

This is one of the only latakia blends that I actually enjoy. The latakia is the frontline of the blend and is assisted by the other types of tobaccos, melding into a nice hearty, sour, sweet, spicy, boozy, incense-like flavor.

If you're a fan of Plum Pudding Special Reserve, you are going to love this. It's the same PPSR you expect, but with an extra layer of bourbon flavor that actually comes through in the final product. The flaked crumble cake gives an interesting presentation that I haven't seen before. It rubs out easily, and is the perfect moisture right out of the tin.
