Smokingpipes 20th Anniversary Blend: XX Flake Dark 2oz Pipe Tobacco

In early 2000, I began considering the prospect of selling pipes on the internet. I incorporated Laudisi Enterprises that May, registered Smokingpipes.com that June, and we sold our first pipe that November. Twenty years and lots and lots of pipes and pipe tobacco later, Smokingpipes occupies a special place in the hobby. To celebrate, we've created two distinctive Virginia based blends, crafted by Cornell & Diehl, each featuring a significant percentage of 18-year-old Perique.

2020 marks the 20th anniversary of Smokingpipes.com, and to commemorate such a milestone we've partnered with numerous members of the pipe smoking community to develop and release several projects throughout the year. We're excited to present Cornell & Diehl's contributions in the form of two special SPC 20th Anniversary tobacco blends: XX Flake and XX Flake Dark.

XX Flake Dark is a pure Va/Per blend comprised of stoved and unstoved Red Virginias, bright leaf, and Perique that's been aged 18 years. With a nuanced flavor profile of bold spice and subtle sweetness, XX Flake Dark showcases quality Virginias and aged Perique, offering a rich depth and enticing aroma, and is limited to 5,000 serialized tins.
