I must have gotten that same 012025 batch as DreadKnot. That was nice to see when I opened the mail. I grabbed this because I live in Miami Beach and we have a Sunset Harbor here, so just going on vibes. But man, this is such a nice treat. Very smooth smoke, no tongue bite. Deep- rich- the Latakia and orientals are the stars of the show. A great smokey-sour floral tanginess- Seems the Perique just adds a nice bit of vitamin N and a deep spice. Bowl starts off fairly light But the flavors get richer the further down the bowl. The end is a spicy and very deeply rich creosote-esque sour BBQ. Retrohale is smooth- Been looking for a good oriental forward blend and this really hit the spot. Honestly, a little less latakia would be my preference for this blend, I bet it ages wonderfully. This is my favorite way to smoke Oriental leaf. Everything here is perfectly married, just the right amounts of everything. Smoky, sweet, creamy, fermenty goodness throughout. Packs easy, burns cool. Nothing to add, nothing to improve upon.

I don't cellar many tobaccos. I am in the lengthy process of trying out different tobaccos, and finding the occasional rare blend I think is worth cellaring. A blend I want to make sure I have until I die. This is the newest addition to that list. I absolutely love this stuff. Hearty, yet smooth. A very delicious Balkan blend! Here is a list of the blends I currently cellar so you can see if your taste matches mine. If you like these blends, then I highly recommend giving Sunset Harbor a try!
