Manufactured in a century-old brick building in picturesque Lauenburg, Germany, Dan pipe tobacco has gained quite a worldwide reputation among smokers, with a wide variety of blends and cuts on offer. Andreas Mund became the successor in charge of production when master blender Jürgen Westphal retired, and is assisted by Heiko Behrens as well as Michael Apitz of Dan Pipe.
Blue Note leans into Golden Virginias, that have a naturally high sweetness, mixed with a mellow Black Cavendish. A fresh flavor of exotic fruits and a touch of bourbon and vanilla is added to make this an extraordinarily enticing Aromatic.

Not often do I make this statement, but I would give this 10 stars if I could. I get a mellow hint of blueberry when I smoke it. I am very impressed. It is a little wet for me right now first opening the tin, but man, it’s good.

While there are some pleasant vanilla notes at first, this bend simply bites & stings the lounge. It's painful towards the end of a bowl. Hard to make it through the whole endeavor.
