This stuff packs a wallop in the vitamin N department. Which for me is perfect. For some it definitely may be too much. Full flavor and very relaxing to smoke. Take your time with this one!

A nice break from "Dark Flake Unscented."

I initially thought this was just the "uncut" version of Dark Flake Unscented (DFU). But after having some of this, it is noticeably more mild than DFU by a step or two. And yet there's not much difference in taste. Perhaps they "are" the same, but I do not believe they are. With this, as I do with DFU, I gently puff/sip to avoid the niccups and to enjoy its flavors more. So if you've ever tried DFU and enjoyeded it, but thought "this is too strong." Then give this a shot; slice it thinly with a sturdy and 'long' utility razor, or very sharp knife, and load it however you please. Enjoy....Read More

Excellent tobacco for the seasoned smoker

This stuff is strong. Not recommended for the new pipe smoker. It'll kick your butt if you aren't careful. Myself, I love strong tobaccos as long as they have the flavor and body to back that strength up. This tobacco is one of the finest examples of a strong and flavorful blend.

Not a fan of the lakeland essence at all. However, it isn't really a hinderance here. It is only barely noticeable in brief afterthoughts. Any more would be too much but this is about right. It's much less than my last batch of Happy Brown Bogie.

This is highly recommended for anyone looking for a Nic-rich blend that doesn't taste like a bucket of tar. And even if you like buckets of tar, I would still recommend this blend. Trust me, it's much better than I can describe. I need to order more next time it is available. My stash is under a pound now and that makes me uncomfortable....Read More

Dark Plug: Superb Virginia

According to GH & Co. this is a pure Virginia blend. The so-called "Kentucky" leaf described by Smokingpipes is really just dark fired Virginia leaf, not actually a Burley cultivar. It's not Burley at all, just Virginia put through the Kentucky Dark Fire process. Owing to this fact, you can use your favorite Virginia pipe to smoke Dark Plug. Yes, it is dark and smoky and smells like Kentucky, but it is also rather sweet because it has all those Virginia sugars. It is nuanced and layered, with subtle flavors developing throughout the bowl. But don't let your guard down because it is also very robust. Plug tobacco takes a little more time to prepare but if you have time it's no big deal.
This stuff tastes great. Definitely bold.
I like strong nicotine and have a decent tolerance but this snuck up on me. It's a sipper.
