7 Seas Red 16oz Pipe Tobacco

I tried to like it. It smells really good but tastes like cough syrup. Maybe aging it will help mellow it out.

I've been smoking pipes for a couple of years, now. Firstly, I only smoke aromatic tobacco. So, no bias, here. I rarely get tongue bite, but there is so much tongue bite with 7 seas red, that I couldn't believe. And by the way, I puff in and out slowly. The taste is cherry and it's very bitter comparing to any other tobacco that I've tried so far. It has average strength. Room note is not strong, which is fine. I'm a big fan of Mac Baren's Plumcake, so, 7 seas red was disappointing overall, as I expected a lot more from Mac Baren...Read More

I wasn't optimist about cherry aromatic pipe tobacco as a novice but it became a favourite in my rotation after getting myself the Mac Baren 7 Seas Red blend. It gives a pleasant Virginia taste at every puff; getting myself some more in the future. 4/5 stars for a commercial pipe tobacco.
