About This Pipe Tobacco
The first of a collection dedicated to Samuel Gawith 1st (who was the mayor of Kendal), CH Flake is a luxury blend of Virginias, Burley and a small amount of long leaf Latakias. To complete the luxury a rich, dark chocolate has been added after cutting. Excellent smoking qualities with good smoke and a delicious room note. Medium strength.

also incredible, rich, meaty and sweet. Between the smell and appearance it almost looks good enough to eat....
The flakes don't feel very wet to me, and they tend to crumble instead of folding/rolling cleanly. Stuffing it into my pipe, it was nearly impossible to get it to stay lit, I ended up emptying my pipe and letting it sit for 10-15 minutes, but even after that I found myself needing to relight every 3-5 puffs.
Flavor wise this blend is very unique. I can definitely get the bitter chocolate flavor if I think about it, but to me it tastes like a strong earthy tea with a lot of honey.
It's a shame to do so, but I'll probably rub out the rest of the flakes to try and improve the smoking experience. If it smoked better, I would definitely score this above average....Read More

otes than explicit tastes. A suggestion of dark cocoa and smoke. Despite this, I found it utterly charming. Albeit, almost impossible to get lit without burning the piss out of my tongue. However, I’ve changed my tactics a bit. I now will fill a bowl in the afternoon for an evening smoke, and the drying time works like magic, as these flakes come extremely moist. Not unlike one of my other favorites, university flake. This actually has some similarities with my beloved university, and bites me just as bad. It’s just so hard to smoke them slow when they taste so good. Goes great with a beer too. I can’t emphasize enough how difficult it is to take to the flame. That’s really my only complaint. I’m giving it 5 stars anyway, simply on the merit of its wonderful rich flavor. Truly top notch stuff here, just don’t expect it to be chocolate flavored tobacco, which it most certainly is not. Again just the faintest hint of dark cocoa with a wisp of smoky over one of the richest, creamiest, and downright chewy smokes I’ve had in recent memory...Read More

No Chocolate
No Latakia
Nothing Really ,
Boring and Flavor-Less
Edit : I tried one last time in a large, deep, narrow pipe and it was much better. Pretty good in fact. You have to find the rite pipe for this to work.
Disappointing

Rename it Smokey and dry - There is no chocolate to be found in either sweet nor bitter. The Latakia was MIA too. Basically, a Burley forward, dry and slightly spicy smoke. Not an aromatic in my opinion. And doesn’t stay lite either, this was a total flop.
