Capstan Blue is one of my all-time favorite smokes, though I can’t indulge in it as often as I’d like due to the price. While the difference isn’t huge, smoking a bowl daily adds up. It’s about $5 cheaper per tin, and I’d say that translates to being about $5 less flavorful—but even a slightly muted Capstan is still a fantastic smoke. Tin note of dark fruit, sugar and spices. Tobacco is a flake of marbled orangish brown, tan and a little dark brown. Moisture content is great. Flakes rub out easily. Burns slow with a few relights. The strength is medium and nic is mild to medium. No flavoring is listed but seems to be a mild sweetness that fizzles out around the halfway point. Taste is mild to medium and very consistent, with notes of sweet vegetation, sugar, spices, floral, wood, bread, zesty lemon grass, earthy, orange peel, tart sour citrus, slightly acidic, mildly savory, slightly spicy, a tangy dak fruit background note, and a peppery retro. Opening the lid of this blend unleashes the subtle aromas of grass, hay and soft citrus. I honestly I get minimal flavor but the scent this gives off is the soft aroma of the inside of a Snickers Bar. To me, this enough to give it 4 stars. I could define myself like a "natural smoker", i only like to smoke non-artificial tobbacos. When i bought this flake in the store, i was looking for a cool natural Virginia, and the owner mistakenly give me this mcbaren. It was not What i wanted, and i note that when i openned the box and a nice sweet aroma came out, and when smoked, obviously i note was an artificial topping. But with all of these, when i smoke this blend i can not say that i dont enjoy It. The topping is elegant and do not dominate, just give a touch of sweeteness and mellow flavours to the good and cool virginias. So i think this is a good flake for people Who want an extra sweet and descomplicate aromátic Virginia smoke, but for people like me, i think out there are better quality Virginia tobbacos, so these flake Will be for me just a sometimes go, and i think when i finish these, Maybe i wont buy It again, but just because i like other type of smoke. Next to the eating delicious ratakia tin tabacco my friends to such words. "Do not want to eat fresh fruit?" Fresh fruit do not want to eat after eating the fact ratakia tin tabacco. My favorite Medium flake tobacco is Germains Medium Flake,but good luck finding it.This blend is very nice ,no bite,even burn,smokes all the way with very little relites.It has a pleasant after taste of Aprocots.Which is really the main difference between this blend and Germains Medium Flake.the nice thing about this blend it's great tasting and it available.The other plus is the price.
