About This Pipe
To this day, W.Ø. Larsen remains one of the most renowned workshops in the world, not only because of their pristine work, but also because of the legendary artisans who produced it: Sixten Ivarsson, Teddy Knudsen, Tonni Nielsen, Jess Chonowitsch, and Hans "Former" Nielsen, to name a few. W.Ø. Larsen pipes are known to feature full-bodied proportions, especially about the bowl, and this lovely Billiard is no exception to that phenomenon. Said bowl houses a generous chamber, and its towering, elegantly tapered walls offer plenty of real estate to showcase the briar's stunning flame grain. Paired to a sleek, arrow-straight shank-and-stem combination, the bowl thoroughly anchors the composition's visual weight. A generous band of gold, however, draws the eye toward the junction; the warmth and metallic gleam of said band pairs beautifully with the stummel's rich, smooth, chestnut finish. A masterful composition all around in terms of both shaping and finish, this gorgeous Billiard is sure to delight any admirer of finely made Danish pipes.
