About This Pipe
Henri Sørensen has always appreciated old-school craftsmanship, and like many pipe makers, he began his journey as a simple smoker. Eventually, he began crafting pipes himself under the guidance of renowned Danish artisans such as Tom Eltang, Erick Nielsen, and Lasse Skovgaard before branching out on his own.
This bent Dublin is a handsome example of Sørensen's distinctive shaping style, showcasing a fluid, Danish-inspired sense of line. The profile is defined by a graceful undercurve that flows continuously from the heel to the bit, lending the piece an elegant, cohesive silhouette. Despite its dynamic curvature, the pipe remains compact, measuring under four and a half inches, making it an ideal Nosewarmer and a convenient travel companion. The bowl features a softly domed, slightly concave rim that draws the eye, highlighted by some striking birdseye. Along the flanks, tendrils of flame grain rise and sweep across the surface, adding further visual appeal to this flowing peice The gently bent shank-and-stem arrangement is accented by a pale band of camel bone, its light hue providing a tasteful contrast against the rest of the composition.
