About This Pipe
Founded by Carlo Scotti in 1947, Castello is recognized for being one of the first Italian brands to separate from the conventional English and French shaping standards. All of their pipes are individually shaped by a small team of artisans who focus on quality in both form and function. The prioritization of quality not only shifted Castello to international recognition, but changed the reputation of Italian pipes altogether.
This bent Dublin is a fine example of the neoclassic inclination for which the Italian workshop is known. The bowl features a generous forward cant, paired with a shank and stem that follow an elegant, elliptical upward sweep, encouraging a comfortable smoking posture. As one would expect from a Castello pipe, the grain is clear and clean-cut, revealing windswept cross-grain across the bowl's flanks. The rim showcases a section of uniform plateau, adding both visual and tactile appeal to the design.
