About This Pipe
Italian artisan Claudio Cavicchi boasts over 50 years of pipe-making experience and possesses an uncanny talent for bringing out the very best from a block of briar. His portfolio is full of evocative interpretations of classic shapes, and he is known by many artisans to have some of the best grain in the world, with even his non-graded pipes rivaling the top-tier pieces of other workshops. Having received an impressive four-C grade, this bent Brandy is a lovely piece from the seasoned artisan.
This offering pairs a plump, palm-filling bowl to a thick, upturned shank and a gracefully bent, tapered stem. The taper of said stem keeps the visual weight on the bowl up front, making this a thoroughly neoclassical Italian design. Flame grain streaks the walls of the bowl, while birdseye dances along the rim, shank, and underside of the piece; all are dressed in one of Cavicchi's signature finishes. Smooth and honey-blonde, said finish imbues the piece with an inviting warmth and a sleek in-hand feel.
