About This Pipe

Brazilian pipe maker Flávia Rodrigues breathes new life into classic pipe shapes, marrying bold expression with expert engineering. Inspired by nature, she often utilizes organic materials for her accents, especially those native to Brazil, such as Brazilian jabuticaba, horn, and precious metals. This Nosewarmer Pot, for example, features a striking pop of jupati, a Brazilian palm wood, and it offers a practically compact yet elegant take on the classic shape.

This Pot's bowl is subtly canted forward for a touch of dynamism; otherwise, this pipe boasts a rather muscular, architectural form throughout, despite its diminutive Nosewarmer length. Thick, insulating walls house a modestly sized chamber, and the short, shapely shank out back is joined by an equally short vulcanite stem with a broad bit that's quite suitable for clenching. Just as much attention to form and craftsmanship has been paid to the stem as it has to the stummel, and their union is emphasized by a raised band of jupati. The Brazilian wood's smooth, spotted finish makes a striking accent to the stummel's ruddy, rugged sandblast, which renders the briar's beautiful grain with impressive visual and tactile detail. For the smoker in search of a refreshing take on the classic Pot shape, this impeccably crafted rendition is sure to entice.
