About This Pipe

One of the greatest pipe-making artisans of our time, Danish artisan Hans "Former" Nielsen has crafted stunning smoking instruments for over six decades. His pipes are renowned for their intricate line work, sophisticated design cues, and impressive engineering, making them ideal for pipe smokers who covet both beauty and function. With excellent grain and clean, precise shaping, this Bulldog is a stunning example of Former's work.

The lines that frame this Bulldog's shank are crisp and clear without being harsh, making for a seamless pairing with the gentle curves and sloping upper walls of the bowl. The upper walls showcase a wealth of swirling birdseye, as do the lower left and upper right quadrants of the diamond shank. Meanwhile, bold flickers of flame grain follow the lower portion of the bowl and the opposing quadrants of the shank. These mesmerizing grain patterns are emphasized by a deep, contrast-rich stain and a silky smooth finish for an exceptionally elegant look, especially when paired with the classic jet-black stem.

Not only is this offering exceptionally beautiful, it's also expertly engineered for countless satisfying smoking sessions, with proportions that ensure comfort and practicality. This practicality, combined with clean, masterful shaping and elegant finish work, make this Bulldog a shoo-in for a future favorite pipe for the smoker fortunate enough to add it to their collection.
