About This Pipe
Compared to the Peewit-esque bent Apple, the powerfully forward bent Dublin, and the asymmetrical Horn also featured in this batch of Jared Coles pipes, this straight Pot is certainly the most conservative of the lot — in both its overall shape and its size. Simply put, this is just a lean, trim take on the classic, balancing a plump, squat, Tomato-like bowl with a slender stretch of shank and tapered stem. While Jared kept things fittingly conservative with the finish as well, executing the stummel in a light-depth, dark-stained sandblast, he did offer a subtle visual break in the composition by fashioning a trim band from pale Bakelite. If you're a fan of classic shapes, especially diminutive ones, it seems Jared made this one just for you.
