About This Pipe
Brazilian carver Luis Lavos discovered a love of woodworking in his grandfather's workshop as a child. Though he later pursued studies in graphic arts, his early passion for wood never waned, making pipe making a natural path. His skill is evident in the Tomato, a compact, full-bodied pipe featuring a wide, tapered bowl, a gently upturned ovoid shank, and a subtly curved split mouthpiece — its base crafted from vibrant white Ivorite and its bit from dark vulcanite. A compact pipe measuring under five inches, this design fits effortlessly in the hand, its substantial yet lightweight build ideal for on-the-go smoking. The stummel is finished in a dark, richly textured sandblast that showcases striking grain.
