About This Pipe
Influenced by the Danish greats, Mike Sebastian Bay boasts a portfolio full of refined interpretations of classic shapes, with this Dublin being a fine example. With a sleek, balanced profile, an energetic sense of movement, and beautiful organic flourishes, this is quite a singular piece.
The walls of the bowl ebb forward as they rise from a narrow heel to a subtly inflated rim. Behind the bowl, a low-set shank emerges from the perpendicular transition, jutting into the air and augmented by three knuckles of pale bamboo. Said bamboo stands out strikingly against the stummel's smooth, contrast-rich, chestnut finish, which accentuates a wealth of stunning grain. A long, slender saddle stem completes the piece, its shoulders flaring subtly to mimic the grooves in the bamboo. With such thoughtful, meticulous shaping and stunning finish work, this pipe is sure to make a beloved addition to any smoker's collection.
