About This Pipe
Showing the arch-typical Italian flare (no pun intended) in overall shape, this Autograph series bent Stack features a chamber deep and capacious enough to lose most of a thumb in. The reddish-maroon finish seems to suit this form nicely, with its organic curves, slight swelling at the gently curving heel, and subtle growth towards the lips of both shank and bowl. (There's really no truly straight line to be found anywhere.) As for the sandblast, it shows some great ring grain, especially upon the lower left and right flanks, and a not-inconsiderable amount of vertical striations are to be found as well.
