Cornell & Diehl - From Beyond 2oz
Nightcap & Quiet Night’s Eclectic Cousin
(2025 release) This one tends to change as you smoke it. I have notice it’s spicier at the beginning and tends to reignite that spice on relights or if it gets too hot but it gets smoother as it goes along as you keep the smoke cool. The dark fruit notes come out as well. At one point it was tasting like a Nightcap. Notes are ever shifting as a formless great one from beyond. I expect it to improve as it slumbers in the deep till it awakes once more.

Cornell & Diehl - Mocha 2oz
Cheap Dark Coffee but Nostalgic
Would definitely choose Saint Espresso over this but it’s not terrible. It’s like if you added a tablespoon of hot chocolate powder to a Folgers or Maxwell coffee. Reminds of the coffee served in church when I was a kid. I like to mix it with Nutty Irishman and pair with a cup of coffee but by itself it’s not something I would be excited about.

Maybe they made too much?
As of the date of this review, it’s still available, so almost 2 weeks. This is a review, not a comment section so… I think the notes listed are accurate (citrus, woodsmoke) except the website says green peppercorn but the tin says green pepper. I don’t think I’ve had green peppercorn before but the bit of spice makes me think the website is more accurate. Smokes great out of the tin but a bit too complex for an all day smoke or an everyday smoke for me. Still a great experience and the flavor is great so I think I’ll age this and pull this one out every now and again.

Cornell & Diehl - Miskatonic Mixture 2oz
Favorite of the Old Ones
Of the ones I’ve tried, this one will probably end up in my regular rotation. Very approachable but still has a lot going on under the surface. Similar to Haunted Bookshop but a lot sweeter and not a “dusty” tasting”. Definitely gets some spiciness but the main characteristic is sweet. There is some earthiness, raisin, baking spices like in a sweet bread. This is one I’d smoke while reading a good book.

If You Want Something New and Unusual
It’s definitely odd, which I’m really enjoying. Not an everyday smoke but if want something fun or something odd to share with your friends it’s great. Like what everyone else is suggesting, probably dedicate a pipe for this. Surprisingly it wasn’t very wet and I got a lot of smoke out of it with no drying time. Smells like a scented grape marker from when I was younger and that stays in the smoke and flavor. Not for everyone, but I certainly enjoyed it

Warped - Saint Espresso 2oz
Great with a Strong cup of Coffee(Updated)
I actually do get a coffee taste but it’s not espresso. It’s more like a cheap strong dark coffee, think like Folgers or Maxwell House if you added extra coffee to the pot. It has some similar notes to C&Ds Mocha in that regard but it’s a lot smoother and more complex flavors. I get a dark fruit/berry note in there too sometimes. Personally it brings some nostalgia before I started drinking better coffee but now I can have that nostalgia while drinking better coffee. Definitely pair with something strong like a Moka pot, not a light roast pour over. Update3/25/26- Coffee taste is still there but it’s taken the far back seat in an 8 passenger van. Those berry notes are now driving with breadiness and some spice in the passenger. It’s been in my regular rotation for the past couple of months. I’m glad I got another tin but will definitely grab more next time it’s available. Would compare it to a Medium Natural Processed Coffee Blend made on Drip/Batch.

G. L. Pease - Chelsea Morning 2oz
New Smoker’s First Time trying an English blend
As someone who is still enjoying aromatics and has enjoyed Solani Virginia Flake 633 and C&D Sun Bear from this year, I was hesitant if I would like it from smelling the tin note which is a lot more smokier than what I’ve tried. But I really enjoyed it and it wasn’t too heavy and I think it’s a great intro into English blends. Was pleasantly surprised that my tin already has almost a year of age on it from December 2024 so I do not know how much of my experience played into that. UPDATE 3/25/26 - Definitely in my rotation now! It’s not that much different from Early Morning Pipe(maybe better) and it’s cheaper and doesn’t directly support STG.

Solani - Virginia Flake - 633 50g
New Smokers Take
I picked up a 50g and immediately a 100g after the first pipe of this. Like most I started with aromatics but this is an excellent step past that. Can’t wait to see how it ages. Will definitely pick up some more if it becomes available again!
