A Perfect Smoke

After thirty years and nearing five hundred different blends, this is by far the silkest and friendliest smoke of them all. To say that 633 is the champagne of Virginias is not enough. It's Dom Perignon.

e hay, stewed fruits, and malty dark chocolate. There is also just a nice sweetness in there that rounds out the richness, like a semi-sweet chocolate (I do enjoy sweeter tobaccos). Interestingly enough, and maybe its just because "champagne" has been embedded in my mind, but it does almost have that very slight bitter after taste of a dry champagne. Maybe its just me? I give it about 30 minutes drying time out of the tin, and sip on it. Do so, and enjoy this rich and sumptuous flake. Read Less

ke to smoke a tobacco a few times prior to sending in a review, but this one is an instant star! The flakes crumble nicely after a gentle rub. The tin aroma is fruity, but not overwhelming. The flavour is loaded with what I found to be the freshest and most pleasantly-tasting Virginias I've encountered. The perique is evident but blended in with perfect harmony. I speculate that this blend can please both the non-Virginia smoker and tenderfoot alike. Read Less

This is a marvelous vaper. Complex notes of dried fruits from the perique playing off the sweetness of the Virginia. If you can, let it age for three years. You will find a tobacco with a very satisfying mouth feel/body.

broken ribbon of flake, folded over itself like taffy and looked fantastic. I chose to rub out my first taste and smoked it in a brigham billiard reserved for virginias. It lit beautifully with no drying time. Burned slow and even. The taste after the char light was so sweet and earthy, fruity hay and molasses. Thick mouth feel when you get it going. I would call it a rich and flavourfull Virginia. If there's perique in this then I'm a tim-bit. You can't taste or feel any perique sadly. 5 stars. If you like Virginia, take off eh. replacing anything, nor will it be added. I prefer Yorktown or my aged FVF, Dunhill Flake and Capstan Blue. From a Virginia point of view (and the flavor profile I enjoy in that varietal) this blend doesn't touch those blends. FYI - I do highly recommend Solani Aged Burley Flake. very present in the taste, but is noticeable in the tin note. The Perique is faint but there with a slight tart plum note and a bit of pepper. Very well balanced and quite rich for a Virginia - burn this one slow and steady to enjoy the most out of the complex flavors going on in here and don't let it dry out too much or you will lose the lighter fruit notes.
