e - it demands a slow sipping cadence to coax the flavor from it. Burns clean, no bite for me. It's not a bad tobacco, but it's not a very memorable blend. Might be a good one for aromatic smokers wanting to try their first Va flake, or for those who prefer mild flakes. After aging a year or two, my rating goes up to a 4. Read Less

Not only is it a great Virginia but with how neat the flakes are and perfect moisture out the tin this a great warm weather tobacco.

ith a consistent flavor. It won't bite, but will get slightly harsh and a little ashy at the bottom of the bowl. Leaves a little moisture in the bowl, and needs an average number of relights. The after taste is weaker than it should be. Read Less

ach variety of tobacco that are more like a coarse cut mixture than a broken flake.
Onto the smoke: The topping pretty much steals all the limelight away from the tobacco nuances but it doesn't seem that gloopy, sticky, or sickly; its a full on aromatic but it's not too much. It burns even and gives of a fairly cool smoke. Unfortunately, it's not all good; it can bite like mad. I have to sip this gently otherwise it's horrendous! The nicotine seems light in this. I'd say it's 'very mild', that suits me but N guys would feel really let down.
Another low point for me is the room note; it's like sitting in a florists! And as if the smell wasn't bad enough it creates a serious plume in the room! Read Less

well stoved...quality is very high and the flavor add is minimal. Its a bit milder version of Dan Tobacco's Tordensjkold flake. Which is often compared to Reiner long golden flake. This is the least flavored of all those. But its maybe the best.

Much like the Sillem's Black approach here is a flake that sets it apart from the rest with a slight touch of flavor. The honey and orange combination works so well with this Virginia.

Softly grassy, but not particularly sharp; wine-like, if slightly citrus; and as sweet as honey. Over-priced for what it delivers.
