About This Pipe Tobacco
Sir Walter Raleigh pipe tobacco was first introduced in 1927 and is currently produced in the United States. Sir Walter himself was introduced quite a bit earlier, the 1500s in fact, and became known for many deeds of valor and courage, as well as the man who popularized smoking in Europe. A Burley blend with hints of anise and molasses, Sir Walter Raleigh Regular has been a popular favorite of countless smokers for generations.

Personally I get a very strong fruit flavor throughout the smoke on this tobacco. Far better than I expected.

e and Molasses, replaced with horrible Sour, Acrid smoke. So STG, unless you are trying to phase out production of SWR Original by making everyone hate it on purpose, please change it back. That's how I got stuck with these 7oz, cause I didn't read the reviews to see they changed it, but why should I, it's only been one of the best OTC tobacco for over 50 years....Read More

purchased some other brand. I let the pouch vent for a few minutes, then loaded a pipe and let it sit (outgas) overnight. The charring light was actually pleasant, but subsequent draws were all flavored with a light to moderate vinegar taste that detracted from what otherwise may have been a very pleasant note. So, I’m seeing the bad-batch possibility described in some previous reviews and I was wondering if there will be any corroboration from STG, apology, and discount for future purchases of a good batch....Read More
