About This Pipe Tobacco
Sir Walter Raleigh pipe tobacco was first introduced in 1927 and is currently produced in the United States. Sir Walter himself was introduced quite a bit earlier, the 1500s in fact, and became known for many deeds of valor and courage, as well as the man who popularized smoking in Europe. A Burley blend with hints of anise and molasses, Sir Walter Raleigh Regular has been a popular favorite of countless smokers for generations.

Really Horrible

Used to be great. Now it smells like vinegar and tasted VERY sour. Threw it out after 1/4 of the tub. Too bad.

I bought this, not knowing really anything. Tried it, not so good. Started to read about how aweful some people find this. So I put it into a jar. Few weeks later with a different pipe, it got better. Now I really enjoy it.

R....IT SMELLS LIKE VINEGAR...and the taste is sharp and bites the tongue. I had read the reviews on various pipe forums of this fall from grace, but was hopefully it was just a bad batch. Piss poor blend

Acerbic and sour are the high points of this abomination of a blend. Upon opening the tin I was meet with overwhelming ammonia scent that made me pull back in disgust. Definitely will not purchase this again.

e and Molasses, replaced with horrible Sour, Acrid smoke. So STG, unless you are trying to phase out production of SWR Original by making everyone hate it on purpose, please change it back. That's how I got stuck with these 7oz, cause I didn't read the reviews to see they changed it, but why should I, it's only been one of the best OTC tobacco for over 50 years....Read More
