I’ve been smoking a pipe for 12 years or so. But I have only recently gone from a 1-2 times a year to weekly. I’m also the type of guy that can buy one type and smoke that forever. I decided I should branch out and explore the top 30 blends. Based on the smell of the tobacco itself (which I like) I was not sure I would like the taste. I was pleasantly shocked to find that this is a big winner for me. Those around me that don’t smoke are definitely not fans. While I’m not likely to smoke it daily I would definitely smoke it once a week or bi-weekly and certainly not an early morning smoke. Next time I buy more I’m definitely getting a pound!...Read More

Good, but not complex enough.

I’ll give nearly any English blend with decent Lat a 3-star review, as I’ll enjoy it, so take the review with that in mind, but it doesn’t taste much if any stronger with 75% Lat than many blends with 50% do. It does reduce the room in the mix for the burley and orientals, however, and dominates the whole smoking experience. You’d better like Lat here, not because it’s so strong tasting—because it’s not—but because it’s nearly all you’ll taste. Too much of a one-trick pony for a 5th star, though it is good....Read More
