When i first bought this early 2026, the first few smokes with it smacked me in the face and put me on the couch haha. It’s been sitting in a jar for a few months now and it’s already mellowed out beautifully.
I don’t taste a lot of Bright Virginia tang/citrus but the Red Virginia and Perique mix is so tasty. almost like a slice of bread with some really funky and earthy peppercorn on it. if you like Perique and strength, this one is for you. also, this is indeed a great morning blend with coffee....Read More

ty. The spice is noticeable, but it never overwhelms the tobacco. Instead, it gives the smoke a lively edge that works especially well first thing in the morning.
What I enjoy most is the way Bayou Morning feels both energetic and grounded. It has enough brightness to wake up the palate, but there is also enough depth and richness to make it satisfying. Smoked slowly, the sweetness and spice settle into a very pleasant rhythm, with the darker fruit notes becoming more pronounced as the bowl develops.

Quickly figuring out I am not a fan of Perique but this blend is truly fantastic and indeed does it right! No tongue bite, enough smoke and taste, and idk a good morning cozy blend. Great for reading LOTR I would say. I know a terrible description but I do quite like this a lot.
