ing a cheap cigar. Outside of white burly and cigar leaf you can hardly taste any other varietals in this blend. It needs Latakia for some complexity and/or Cavendish to take the edge off the Burly/Cigar leaf. Read Less

are very similar and simultaneously delightfully different. Their similarity is overall character. They're both unabashed members of the Codger Burley genre. Straight up, tobacco forward blends that I could totally see any of the gruff, hard working old men of my childhood enjoying on a regular basis. All the vitamin N a growing boy needs. The difference between them is in delivery. OJK is borderline harsh and about as nuanced as a punch in the face. BBB is a bunch smoother by comparison and much less toothy (probably because it's not nearly as perique heavy.) Nevertheless, it's a sophisticated type of cigary. A previous reviewer said it was reminiscent of a Romeo y Julieta cigar. I get that. Now kick in a bit of that natural choclatey tone in burley, the subtle sweetness of Virginia and just enough perique for a fruity, earthy (not spicy) tone to appear and fade intermittently. All things considered, it's a great stablemate for OJK and easily an all day everday smoke for Codger Burley fans and cigar guys. Read Less

If you love VaPers and Virginia/Burley blends you'll find this to be right in your wheelhouse. The pinch of cigar leaf combines beautifully with the base ingredients to give the blend a somewhat oriental character, which I find delightful.

It has a very pleasant natural jam. But it must be smoked slowly and in the right pipes. I just use straight pipe for him. Otherwise you will have a banal tobacco and you will wonder why the hell has such good reviews.

Got this blend smoked it out of a fresh cob instantly fell in love. I’m a fan of Virginia blends and this hits all levels don’t look for complexity’s or different room notes.. enjoy the sweetness and hint of spice
It's nothing like the original Billy Budd.

I bought this blend, thinking it is a toned down version of the Original Billy Budd. I was wrong. It lacks taste and complexity. Faint cigar leaf is there but does not give me the satisfaction of the original Billy Budd.

One of the best blends after aging for a bit. The cigar leaf is a tad overbearing initially, but once it settles in, it's a fine smoke indeed.

I'm not a VA/Per fan because the Perique just doesn't agree with me. But I do appreciate a good blend of VA burley. There is nothing special about this blend. The cigar leaf is delightful but the rest of the ingredients just lay there.
