It's dark burley which we all know is good....But, keep in mind "cube cut" is just what's in the bottom of the bag in your ribbon cut..Not cube chunks.

Burley enthusiasts may enjoy smoking it on its own, but for most of us it will remain a condiment or blending base. Price is not fantastic for what it is, but it could be worse. Age offers some improvement. I always keep a half pound to a pound in the cellar.

Cube Cut Burley

end from C&D is noticeably darker and smaller in size.
Aromas include most prominently corn syrup, vinegar and tea leaves.
Sampled in a MM Missouri Pride.
Big thick mournful of nutty toast flavor.
Instantly felt like I’ve smoked this blend for years - just a warm, comforting basic burley profile.
It’s sweet here when taken solo. There is even a slight “tingle” in the mouth like when tasting a wine with higher tannins. I get the impression that this could bite you if you let it.
The smoke it makes is thick and Smokey (duh) but I can’t describe it otherwise - white thick plumes and smell of burnt straw.
I am most entertained by the sweetness. I didn’t expect it to be so pronounced. It makes me think of buttered hot cornbread.
Solid blending component obviously; fun enough solo blend if you’re inclined. I mean you could do worse.

nd this is forward throughout the bowl. I didn't pick up any casings, just great high quality tobacco. The smoke is cool and dry and very enjoyable. The nicotine is most definitely there, but i don't think it's as high as the rating suggests. Overall, I'm really glad I tried this one and as long as it's made, I'll have some in my rotation....Read More
