This is C&D's high grade Burley from the Kentucky fields. Naturally smooth, cool smoking and featuring a pleasant room note, White Burley can make for a great smoke on its own as well as act as a fine base for your own mixture experimentation.

I love the C&D Dark Burley and smoke it after dinner often because it's strong, but this Burley is just right any time of day. Great with morning coffee. This is very good mixed with C&D Dark Burley.

nilla sugar touch.
I figured it would benefit from a larger bowl and here I pulled an audible , skipping the cob. And getting instead on of my meerschaum with a larger bowl.
It’s C&D burley - you’re either a fan or you’re not. But it’s got a really nice low level sweetness - kinda reminds me of when you chew a birch toothpick too long. It’s a natural sweet but not a sugar sweet.
It’s got a nice nuttiness to it and some will enjoy it smoked solo , producing big billowy clouds - of a kinda rough aroma. That’s maybe my only flaw here - the room note just isnt pleasing, but I found it kinda like a wettened camp fire.
I can imagine if this is all you could get, you’d smoke it and know no better if the wider world of blends, and still enjoy the experience.
As a blending component it’s off the scale - even a 5 isn’t high enough to recognize its importance in blending. But as something to cellar as a solo smoke, it’s a pass for me.

First light a few months back was traumatic. Now it’s not as bad aged, but tastes kinda like a cigar and has a lot of bite to it in the middle of your tongue. Could be okay for a mixer, but definitely not a straight smoke.

Just finished my first bowl of this. First thing I got was a bit of sweetness. Smooth, burned down to white ash. I ordered this burley to smoke straight, and to stretch my budget. With a full pound, there's plenty to stretch out my blends and have stock on hand for SHTF.
