This a rather light for my tastes. It is very smooth with hints of sweet, and citrus, but lacks that deep flavor you get in Capstan blue. It's definitely worth trying!

This stuff is scary good, especially for a bulk broken flake. Holy moly. Sweet grass, hay, citrus, fresh baked goods, wow. Very tasty. Enthralling bag/tin note. 5 yr old jar note of sugary spices, sharp hay and mild stewed sour fruit. Tobacco is a reddish orange broken flake. Moisture is good to go, Flakes rub out fairly easily. Burns slow with few relights. The strength is mild to medium and nic is mild. No flavoring detected. Taste is medium and consistent, with notes of sweet bread, wood, tangy citrus, orange peel/zest, floral, hay, mild lemon, spice, acidic, mild fruit, a sweet grassy background note, and a moderately peppery retro. I was able to sample some before I bought a little. This is the baked sweet breads, and yes the fragrance of baked orange muffins came to right away but I think that will calm with age. If your a Virginia lover I think you'll like this. It is different from the sweet dark Virginia pressed, which I like too, a lot, but I like this, it's a little different. An excellent Virginia Flake. It's almost bone dry when you receive it but the steam towel trick rehydrates it perfectly. No review description needed as the flavor profiles are perfectly described in the blend description.

The only down fall is I haven't been able to buy this in bulk from Smokingpipes.com since June or July of 2020. Really hope it comes back soon because I'm completely out....Read More
