About This Pipe Tobacco
High-grade Virginias are pressed into Cornell & Diehl's proprietary flake/chip cut and the result is a smoke brimming with both a natural sweetness as well as a fragrance that is slightly reminiscent of orange muffins fresh from the oven. This tasty leaf packs a fine bowl straight from the bag, but also boasts excellent aging potential.

ken flakes of golden brown that were sampled in a Missouri pride.
There’s a nice grassy, sweetness to this Virginia if you go good and slow, you can really appreciate some citrusy grapefruit part as well as some sweetness hay and grass. It’s just a solid , back bone Virginia, and does not have quite the sourness of the red Virginia that I like, but it’s sweet nonetheless, and you can tell that it’s from good origin.
You don’t really wanna push this one because if you do, you’re gonna lose the nuance, you’ll lose the sweetness and it can kinda get cigarette ash tasting. Do keep a gentle cadence - that’s gonna be rewarded and if you lose your cadence, you’re not gonna be able to recapture the bowl. Once you go over the tipping point you’re over the tipping point.
It’s plain and simple Virginia. I really like the Twiggy flakes. One nice little surprise as occasionally there’s almost vanilla-ISH almond note that comes and goes. This could easily be an all day blend but not for me. It’s just too plain. It’s definitely a great component to tobacco though however.
My rating : 3
