Interlude 2oz Pipe Tobacco

I cracked open my first tin of this tonight and I was just stunned at how good it was. I’ve been enjoying Briar Fox and Carolina Red Flake and this blend is honestly right there with them, if not better in some ways. Unlike CRF, this is a constantly available blend, easily accessible for everyone. Briar Fox has a bit more complex flavors to me, but this is very similar to a well aged red Virginia, straight from a new tin. The honey casing is light but impactful in a positive way. It enhances the sweet of the red VA from the back. When I first tasted it, it reminded me of a 1-3 year old Stokkebye Navy flake and how sweet it gets while still having the VA flavors up front. I wish this was sold by the pound so I could buy it in bulk. I'm surprised there aren't too many reviews here. This is one of the best VA blends out there. The honey casing is unobtrusive and simply enhances the flavors of the red Virginia. Excellent quality and flavor. Amazing Red Virginia with the perfect touch of honey. My all-around favorite tobacco.

I would say not comparable to peterson flake but almost between orlik without perique and sutliff 507c if you cross these tobaccos you might get interlude one of the best virginia blends out there

An excellent red Va blend. Not quite crf, but in the same ballpark. All the obvious notes. As Jeffrey said below, I too, said Mmmmmm! The honey isn't obtrusive or even noticeable alone, just makes the flake slightly sweeter. Burns great out of the tin. Highly recommend this one.
