Unexpected goodness

Product: Cornell & Diehl Old Joe Krantz Red Label 2oz
Definite Latakia presence but not overwhelming. Sweet smoke with a little spiciness too. Very pleasant blend. Assertive but not obnoxious. Of all the Latakia blends I can recall smoking, this may be the best. It fits in nicely with the other OJK blen... Read More
ds suggesting that Runowski created a complimentary series that in my Burley opinion could easily rival or mirror the Virginia based blends of Dunhill but with a Burley tilt. I’ve recently dived into the OJK series and am enjoying the expert skills of this Old Master Blender. This will definitely slow my endless quest for the ideal smoking mixture or mixtures. Read Less

I'm just getting into pipes and am working my way through different types of blends. I'm not a big aro fan, but I love English blends (any Dunhill or frog morton). I tried this tobacco because I love strong flavors. This delivers on that, but it's n... Read More
ot a nuanced flavor at all. It's very much one note through the whole bowl. It's saving grace is that it's only note is a pleaser. I enjoyed the deep nutty taste, thick smoke, and overall feel of this tobacco. I might order it again after I finish the 2 ounces. Read Less

If you like heavy burley/perique blends such as Picayune, Big n' Burley, Old Joe Krantz, Haunted Bookshop, etc., this is not it. OJK red label smokes like a light English Latakia blend with the addition of black Cavendish. It contains a fair amount o... Read More
f the sweetened type, which I am not a fan of, but all the ingredients and components are of good quality, so I cannot find CD at fault here for not being a favourite. My only complaint is it seems to contain a fair amount of it, so it plays a major role right at the forefront of everything. If you have been smoking OTCs up until now and you want to dabble into the world of non-aromatics, this blend could be for you. Read Less

Nice zing to it, but I prefer the red.
Not That Great

I really didn't get much flavor from this but it's still got body to the smoke. It's like the components work against each other in this ratio. It has been kind of hard on my tongue also even though I've been careful with it. I don't even want to smo... Read More
ke up the sample I bought. It does burn nicely and stay lit. There's just not a good balance in this blend for my tastes. Read Less
