My first Burley blend

The first few smokes couldn't taste anything but the cocoa topping, then the topping subsided to the background, and I felt those "Earthly, chocolatey" notes that people describe when talking about Burley. So far I'm enjoying it, it provides a nice break from traditional vapers and english tobaccos that I smoke. Tends to bite, be it dry or wet, so sip slowly. Surprisingly it is my first tobacco that doesn't gurgle at all It would be unfair if I rated it below 5 because I don't know how it compares to other Burley blends....Read More

I really enjoy this! It has a rich, cocoa/chocolate type flavor that reminds me of a sweeter, stronger version of Pegasus. It says it has perique, but I was not able to detect it. This blend does come very wet, and it does have a topping of some sort. I'd suggest drying it out well because I have gotten some tongue bite from this blend....Read More

I enjoyed smoking this. It was a tad milder in taste than Nyala, obviously, but still good. Had a nice room note and after taste. It burns easy and stays lit. Nice summer blend, and it pairs great with coffee.

Really nice Virginia blend, light casing or topping really adds a subtle flavor and sweetness to the overall profile. Nutty, chocolately burley; sweet, bright slightly citrusy, Virginias. Bit of spice and darker sweetness from the perique. I smoke a lot of straight Virginia blends (HH, capstan, newminster 400, OGS, 507c etc) but this one has made me start exploring more burly and burley/virginia blends. Really, really solid smoke! Also check out HU Nebari for what tastes (to my palette, anyways) like the same blend with orientals added for even more depth of flavor and another total banger of a blend. Smokable straight from the tin but it does smoke a bit wet if you don’t dry it slightly prior to lighting so I have been letting mine sit out for about an hour to dry with slightly better results (fewer relights, drier smoke, less moisture to fight)...Read More
