This blend induces a near meditative state, and honestly has helped me think through some problems more than once. Smooth and satisfying, this is my favorite all day tobacco.

I love English blends, this one isn't a Latakia laden bomb, it has a nice English character with a lightness that makes this ideal for an everyday smoke. Glad I bought a couple of tins as this won't last long.

I agree with pipe guy. Troubles melt away after I smoke this awesome English blend. A must try blend. I just wish it was sold in 8-16 ounce tin.

This blend is very calming. You open the jar and the tobacco looks like a lot of Virginia and not a lot of Smokey tobacco but wow the Latakia really comes through in this beautiful harmony of blends. I tip my hat.

avorful blend, and if it's your cup of tea you will likely like it very much. But I am not a big fan of the Latakia and Professor is a little too Latakia forward for me. I'll put the second tin into the cellar and see if I like it better over time. Read Less

e first thing I noticed when popping the tin was a hint of Latakia with a sort of citrusy note behind it. It’s a nicely uniform ribbon cut and just right for moisture content. A little too intense for a break-in tobacco so I grabbed Peterson 87 which is a nice smaller prince bowl. A gentle pack and charring light got things started easily. First thing I noticed was the Latakia. Not overpowering but definitely right up front. It’s well modulated buy the other components and overall is a friendly smoke with definite Latakia character. No bite, no relights, occasional tamping as I smoked the bowl to the bottom. I’ll give it high marks as a mild Latakia blend, possibly a good introduction to this tasty tobacco. I’ll smoke the tin before making further judgements but it’s a good place to dip your toes into the Latakia pond. The room note is reminiscent of oak fireplace smoke…mild. Read Less

x as I could taste different tobaccos at different times points in the bowl. The blend starts out sweet from Virginias. A short time later the smokiness of the Latakia starts to come forward. Next, the Orientals start to come forward for a period. Finally, I tasted pepper probably from Perique. A very rich and complex smokiness dominate maybe the last quarter of the bowl. Very very nice. To me Professor is a toned down equivalent to Sutliff’s 526 Old Professor. Just a mellow smoke for when you want to chill and drink a great glass of Irish whisky
