Cherry explosion! From the char light to the last sip there is cherry flavor. Chocolate is muted until toward the end of the bowl where it slowly creeps up on you. Other than the cherry / chocolate, I got nothing, no tobacco flavors.

ch for that 20 year single malt to pair it with. You'll just stick it in your pipe and smoke it. Don't' stick it in a briar that you want to use for something else as it ghosts heavily. Don't buy this if you're the (English accent) "Charles, the Latakia interplays wonderfully with the bright Virginias and I can taste the woody, smoky dog shit, and spicy stale NYC subway piss smell throughout the bowl" kind of pipe smoker. I like English, Balkans, Aros and even some Burley blends and usually smoke upwards of 4-6 bowls a day. This stuff is good for what it is. Read Less

remnants from this blend. I would stay away from this unless you really Love cherry and chocolate. The burn was amazing. A lot of gurgle in the beginning, so be sure to keep a pipe cleaner at hand. I was shocked to feel no tongue bite. But I had to waste clean my pipe using a lot of pipe cleaners to remove the cherry flavors for my next smoke. Don’t use this on your favorite pipe unless you don’t mind the cherry flavor stain in your future smokes. Read Less

s a kid. It wasn’t goopy or wet. I reluctantly packed my pipe. It lit just fine and I surprisingly enjoyed it. It wasn’t a harsh cherry taste of robitussin some claim, but could pick up on it. The chocolate was hardly noticeable. Showed up a little more later on in the smoke. There wasn’t really any bite. I smoked it on the way home from work & yes.. the room note is definitely strong. I’d consider it a “my wife won’t mind if I smoke this in the house” kind of tobacco.
I was pleasantly surprised. Be mindful to keep a few cleaners close at hand.
Would I purchase again… maybe? Its good. But wouldn’t consider it a stacking tobacco in my opinion. Read Less

se has described it as that, but to me this is exactly what it smells like. It wasn't wet or goopy as some may describe, it was more dry and ready to smoke. The taste that everyone describes is completely off, but the closest relatable would be the cherry/chocolate tootsie pops. It is a creamy, rich, sweet blend. It doesn't even have a tobacco after taste which is great. Near the end of the bowl for me personally, I taste cinnamon. Extremely happy with this blend. I will definitely be stocking up a LARGE amount next pay day. Can't give it enough stars, but 5/5 will do. A perfectly balanced cherry chocolate blend. Read Less

all taste is more of that chocolate covered cherry flavor with some hints of vanilla and amaretto. Late stages of the bowl give more of a subtle wood flavor. The room note according to my wife is, "not bad." Which is about as good of a rating as I can get from her.
Very smooth, very flavorful and nice to smoke. I liked letting it dry out for a bit but it was also fine out of the tin. I don't think I'd find myself smoking it regularly but it might be one that I keep a small stash of for the occasion that I want a nice, sweet, after dinner smoke. Read Less

I love Killarney, Connoisseurs Choice, Ennerdale or a bowl of St Bruno on occasion so I know my palate works but no matter how slowly I draw this Cult through my pipe all I get is a high note of sour/sharp and an ash taste. Not for me but plenty of good reviews so please don't be put off by mine.
I've ordered a selection of tobacco's to try and a couple to restock along with Captain Black Black Cherry - if I can't taste that then there's definitely something wrong with me.
Love the site, good selection at excellent prices, will continue to order from Smoking Pipes but gonna have to leave the Cult for others.

It has a rich cordial cherry flavor but even though it smells and looks like it's incredibly heavy on the topping it does not come with any of the downsides that usually follow those it does like to be burnt Slow and Low but is forgiving if you get a little excited. As I said this is one of my go-to's and I always have a tin of it with me in my pipe roll. It is not super heavy on the nicotine but it definitely makes up for it in smoke-ability and flavor, if you're a fan of amazing flavors and great room notes I highly suggest picking this up Read Less

it out good and have no ghosting. With that said, years ago I used to enjoy a house blend from Tinder Box called Black Cherry. That blend was wonderful because it tasted like a warm cherry pie working with the tobacco, not overpowering and eliminating it. It didn't taste like medicine or artificial chemicals like this Blood Red Moon does. Now, if you enjoy cherry flavored cough drops or medicine, this may be a good choice for you. 以前并不怎么喜欢抽调味，抽得也很少。偶尔买了几罐这个试一试，想在朋友聚会时抽，因为觉得室韵应该不错，当做社交烟。没想到的是抽了一斗之后，立刻爱上了它！味道非常甜美，柔和却又烟气饱满，如果有人说它的味道太甜腻了，那么我想他们肯定不喜欢吃蛋糕吧？反正我喜欢吃蛋糕，喜欢甜食。所以我特别喜欢它香甜浓郁的味道。抽完以后还会再买一些。

Very strong and artificial. For my palette, the tobacco is lost and a medicinal cherry taste is all there is. I'll say this, if you're super into cherries, this one packs a cherry punch from start to finish. Only needs one relight about halfway down or more after you pour out some ash. Not for me.
EDIT: After cellaring, this a lot better. I've found it's best use---adding a little to vanilla tobaccos! The cherry can be a little too much on its own, but a just a tiny bit makes a vanilla smoke pretty magical. Read Less

xception burned like a grass fire in August and tasted like cherry cough drops. They were horrifyingly awful to say the least. As years past I started smoking Lane's TK-6 which is not terrible on it's own but becomes a great aro when blended with a few other tobaccos. Cult Red Blood Moon reminds me very much of my TK-6 / BCA / LL-7 mixture. The Cult offering smokes cool, has a pleasant taste and delightful room note. Upon opening the tin you are greated with the artificial odor of cherry flavoring, but don't let that fool you. It tastes and smokes much better than it smells in the tin. If it wasn't for the fact that it is so similar to my usual blended mixture I would definitely buy it again. Read Less

ry flavor, great room note and very little bite if any. Burns really well and smokes clean. On a side note, it will ghost your pipe after a few bowls, so keep that in mind and dedicate a pipe to this blend. Read Less

most identical to the way it smells, but smoke it slowly of course. It burns nice and has an amazing aroma. I decided to be a troll at work and held the last puff in my mouth from the smoking area and walked into the building from my break. I ducked down next to a friend and puffed it out. After a short cough, he and everyone within a 10m radius kept sniffing the air. I threw a pen at a guy who claimed it was an e-cigarette, but I digress. It missed anyway.
But in all honesty, if you like the taste of sweet and slightly sour hard candy, it tastes like one called "Heartbreakers", and I guarantee you will like it at the very least. There's a reason they keep selling out, so cudos to the good staff of this site for trying to keep up with demand! Read Less
