总的来说，这款草前段以酸甜坚果酒韵为主，尾段强烈的烟熏，我无法判定这款草加了佩里克是好还是坏，但是我知道的是这个品牌的斗草都是比较适口的，是拉塔基亚爱好者的天堂。

Virgina really shines in this blend for me, and it is high quality leaf. Nice sweet flavour, and dances just right with the Latakia. Visually a beautiful leaf and a very interesting cut, not quite rubbed not quite a flake. I don't rub it out anymore then it is and that smokes great for me. My favorite thing about this blend is it's smoothness. You can puff it like a locomotive and it won't bite at all. Moisture is perfect out of the tin. Smokes the best out of my old beat up grabow. s being different than the rest, and really excellent to boot. The others I smoked seemed to be various versions of pretty straightforward English blends of different strength. But Blairgowrie has a unique taste that sets itself apart. Even the cut, a mostly but not fully rubbed out flake, is different. The flavor is full and rich but not harsh. The nicotine levels is medium and the flavor reminds me a little of a rich, full bodied Maduro cigar. Light on the Latakia and Perique. Very well balanced. Delicious and easily something I'd smoke all day. Slow burning, it can be dried a bit to stay lit better. So far, this has impressed me the most, and the first of these that I look forward to re-ordering. Highly recommended!! Read Less

The taste is mostly of Virginia and Orientals. The Latakia is used sparingly, which I like. The Perique is ever present in the background on every puff, which I enjoy. The mild, sweet Orientals lend some extra spice & flavor & play an important roll in this mixture. The Perique provides a subtle, sweet, fruity flavor.

my vintage grp2 hardcastle billiard and this blend were made for each other.
power level in a larger bowl may be higher but in the right pipe I find the end of the bowl and my satisfaction to always be perfectly balanced.
I also find no rough edges I need to micro blend away which makes this one of the singular blends I enjoy with no additions.
I hope Mr. Pease offers this blend for as long as I want to fill a bowl with it! Read Less

After you pack and light you'll notice this lights pretty easily and it burns very well. I typically finish a bowl in 30 minutes and with Blairgowrie I might re-light it once or twice. That's because the moisture level is right and the tobacco packs very well.
The flavor is a mixture of that molasses sweetness, a bit of smoky undertone, and really nice Virginia hay. Love this stuff. Read Less

r. Smoked three bowls today of different sizes, bought 200 grams more. I preload bowls, and let it oxygenate in the bowl for a couple hours. My den is 52% relative humidity. It smokes tastier on the more oxygenated side for me. This one will probably end up being a daily smoke. I already smoked 80 grams in like nine days. Money well spent. Bought 5 of the 200gr. tins. It's bite free, packs well, burns a long time without brushfire smoke filling the room. Many Latakia blends are poorly done, but this one is perfect. There's no "medicine" taste at all, and the moisture is perfect right from the can. The best analogy I can muster is going to a "chain" steakhouse; their steaks are marinated, injected, tenderized, and flavored to the point that they don't taste like steak anymore. This mixture is like going to a fine French restaurant and ordering their classic filet. Needs nothing except eating. Or, in this case, smoking. Highly recommended. Read Less

verything we appreciate about our Virginias and VaPers — and they manage to get a sort of toasty, earthy, nuttiness in there without the addition of burley; it’s very peaty. I think that must come from the dry aging which comes along with being packed and shipped in tins which are definitely NOT vacuum sealed, and never have been, as reviewer GLPease reminds us. So if you’re looking for something inclined towards the English side that isn’t all the way English, maybe something with just a bit of an English accent, you should give this a try. It’s very smooth, not very heavy, and it has some complexity too. The latakia is present but not at all heavy or emphatic, and the orientals show up as kind of an ethereal phantom, something you just barely notice out of the corner of your eye (or, palate, I guess). The latakia and orientals serve to elevate the VirginiaPerique rather than make a showing of their own, like an ottoman that the Virginias and perique rest their feet on. It’s really quite interesting. Blairgowrie will likely not satisfy the craving for a big, bold English or a spicy, incensey Balkan, but if you are a dedicated Virginia/VaPer fan considering a venture across the pond into latakia territory, Blairgowrie is a very good place to start. You bet it's a good smoke, but I find myself keen to get through the tin and on to other smokes. To orient my POV, my tastes tend towards the medium English/Balkan blends. Margate, Westminster, Charing Cross, and Germain's Original Latakia Mixture are faves. In the Drucquer line, Trafalgar knocked it out of the part for me. Read Less

It's bite free, packs well, burns a long time without brushfire smoke filling the room. Many Latakia blends are poorly done, but this one is perfect. There's no "medicine" taste at all, and the moisture is perfect right from the can. The best analogy I can muster is going to a "chain" steakhouse; their steaks are marinated, injected, tenderized, and flavored to the point that they don't taste like steak anymore. This mixture is like going to a fine French restaurant and ordering their classic filet. Needs nothing except eating. Or, in this case, smoking. Highly recommended. Read Less

terplay of buttery, earthy goodness from the orientals, and the breadiness from the VA is just amazing. The Latakia is in the back seat, giving some body, and creamy, smoky flavor. The Perique gives a mild spice on the retrohale, and adds a mild plummy flavor that tops off the VA and orientals.
Out of the tin this broken flake/ ready rubbed is at a perfect moisture to just load and go, with few , if any relighting needed through the bowl.
