About This Pipe Tobacco
A very strong, but very cool smoke is the result of combining in equal proportions only Malawi Dark Fired Leaf and Indian dark air-cured leaf. After maturing through processing and stoving, Gawith Hoggarth applies the traditional British flavors of licorice, maple and tonquin bean.

urning characteristics requiring multiple relights. Now that’s a flake I fell in love with. So if you wanna buy some, but hesitate because of a lottery like experience GH is putting us through then rest assured this flake that is currently on sale (February 3rd, 2026) is of good proper quality.

This is what they smoke in Lakeland heaven. If you like lakelands, this is one of the best things you will ever put in your pipe. One word of advice: dedicate a pipe to this flake. The lakeland essence is strong with this one, and it will ghost. But when you enjoy lakelands, that's a plus.

s were to occur, after some time, it would be more like "Dark Flake Unscented." But I was wrong in assuming this. For it's now a bit on the weaker/more-mellow side of both the strength and flavor of 'DF-unscented'. I still enjoy this, the 'Aromatic', but I am not sure I would order more. So I suggest...if you enjoy the floral 'notes'...purchase but a little of this at a time and smoke it immediately. But if those aromas are too much, you can let it sit and try again to see if you prefer what it morphs into. Also...this is even good with some "G.H. & Co. Exmoor Mixture" mixed in....Read More
