This tobacco can burn hot. It's not one I'd recommend for beginners. So maybe I just haven't got the knack of this blend yet, but it seems unidimensional to me. It's a nice, honey-sweet virginia with lots of bready, malty, lemony flavor. It's not particularly interesting, doesn't develop much through the bowl. Thus stuff is top notch. The flakes are beautiful in the tin. It has a subtle sweetness. I enjoy it young and with a couple of years aging. I’m 67 so laying down tobacco is less viable- I am more in consumption years. Highly recommended 4.5 stars

Capstan Blue is one of my all-time favorite smokes, though I can’t indulge in it as often as I’d like due to the price. While the difference isn’t huge, smoking a bowl daily adds up. It’s about $5 cheaper per tin, and I’d say that translates to being about $5 less flavorful—but even a slightly muted Capstan is still a fantastic smoke. It delivers a familiar earthy profile with a gentle honey-like sweetness and a touch of nuttiness from the Burley. Highly recommended....Read More
