16 but this new "Dunhill" is produced in 2019 summer, which means there are only a little time gap between the tobacco produced or packed to your smoking experience. Secondly, Peterson said it's original recipe so it is, the company will not ruin it's reputation by making different famous tobacco. This is my go-to when I need a mild smoke. I never get a bite, great tin and room notes, and a very pleasant flavor. The reason is probably the absence of any other tobacco other than Virginia.

在中国，登喜路时代它的昵称是小白。彼得森的复产版本抽过后感觉，还是太仓促了些。抛开登喜路的影子，单说这款切片，味道不错。但是做横向对比的话，只能说，上得太着急了……烟草的处理感觉像是少了一些工序，还能在燃烧中感受到青草味，太新了，再放放……

D版小白应该是斗客绕不过的一款经典之作，开盒即食也好，略陈化也好，总会是你的不二选择。但是经过改版又经过复刻，现产的小白虽依然可抽，但似乎已渐行渐远，失去了他的甜，味道也略显驳杂。楼下有几位朋友说P家上的太急，同感！
在复刻款中算是比较一般的

So after smoking some other brands of Virginia Flake, I’m starting to feel like Peterson/Dunhill flake is a cut above the rest! I find it to have more natural tobacco sweetness than most, cooler smoking, and for me just more enjoyable all around. This and the Peterson 3P have come to be my favorites in the rotation. Read Less

or Deluxe Luxury Rolls. This assumption I believe was more subconscious or subliminal than anything. Secondly, since my tastes skewed burley-ward, and also toward Dark Fired Kentucky, Orientals, and Black Cavendish, I knew I’d eventually try Flake, but assumed the performance would prove none too inspiring. After all, it was composed purely of Virginia. And it wasn’t cured or stoved that I knew, like the rope blends from SG and GH. Well, I was certainly wrong.
What was I thinking? Or rather, not thinking? I feel like this was Dunhill’s (and now Peterson/STG’s) own version of Samuel Gawith’s Full Virginia Flake. Which to me is a stunningly delicious, pure Virginia flake (perhaps with a touch of that distinct topping found in Samuel Gawith and Gawith Hoggarth that most seem to love or hate). Instead, here we have a conservative foil to FVF, a blend where the topping perhaps isn’t quite notable or identifiable. What you do have is an impressive spiral of lemon citrus intertwined with grass/hay and then malt. It’s like a slightly citrusy yet vaguely tea-like, lightly malty brown ale. Sip this slowly and you won’t just skirt tongue-bite, but you’ll fully take in the medium-strength, simply yet delicious, and above all pleasant experience of Peterson Flake. As you do, you just might remember what you already well know: this is a flake, especially since it’s pure Virginia, that will improve considerably with age. Cellar this blend—if you can avoid smoking it all, of course! 5.0 stars. Read Less

Kind of malty with good grssy, fresh notes that I like in the virginia tobacco. A few lights and stays lit with no problem straight out of the tin. Pick up a flake brake it and enjoy it.

Taste is mild to medium and moderately consistent, with notes of bready, sweet grass, rich earth, citrus peel/zest, acidic/spicy, mild wood, spices, mildly savory, mildly floral, a sweet, dried hay background note, and a peppery retro. A common problem I have with straight VA’s is the tongue bite. This one doesn’t bite me.

old, and find some Virginia at the right price point. This one has a nice tangy finish note, and I had to slow my cadence a bit. Mid bowl the flavor is a tad richer, and some baked bready notes blossum forth. End of the bowl the flavor get a touch of mild sweetness and depth. Probably will smoke the Peterson Flake and Royal Yacht for Fall weather. It's still low 80° here, and I do favor milder smoke when warm. Enjoy yourselves. Read Less

pack it too tightly, as it needs room to expand. It's really great in smaller pipes, and can provide quite a long smoke even in a smaller pipe, like a System 317. You'll find the flavour gets rich and chocolaty in the bottom 1/3 of the bowl. Very nice. Read Less

This flake is perfect. Smoking mechanics are great, stays lit very easily. Flavor is of freshly baked bread with caramel. I’m going to cellar this blend, I’m sure it’ll get better with age. My current tin is only a year and a half old.
