About This Pipe Tobacco

Peter Stokkebye's Cube Cut is an American blend of air-cured toasted Burley leaves from Tennessee and aged red Virginias have been pressed into cakes and cross cut into small squares for easy filing of the pipe and slow burning.

These days it seems like pipe smoking has turned into more of hobby. Some people only smoke once or twice a day. That's great I love that. But there are still some of us that smoke from sun up to sun down. Working 12 hours a day in the sun is not the best place to taste all the subtle nuances of some of the amazing tobacco we have these days. Some people just want a tobacco that tastes good, packs easy, and burns a long time with out having to play with it. This is that tobacco. It's slightly sweet with a hint of chocolate and nuts. Dip your pipe in the bag and go. Burns for a long time and you dont have to think about it. This is my all day smoke. Ill enjoy the other stuff when I get home but this is what's coming to work with me....Read More

It’s got a wonderful taste. It does need a little bit of dry in my opinion, but it’s nutty and does have a little cocoa going on. The cube cut makes it a little bit difficult to lighten my opinion, even though I dried it out for about a half hour You don’t seem to get that same full body smoky drawer that haunted bookshop or Old Joe Krantz would provide ; although I do think it’s a top quality Tabacco. This is probably one of my favorite blends, everything about it just works. The cube cut makes it easy to pack, light, and tamp throughout the smoke. The burley flavor is mild but pure and there's a subtle tang from the Virginia that works really well together.

I'm still smoking through my initial 1oz sample, but even throughout the ounce it seems like it improves every smoke. Definitely worth stocking up on and aging...Read More

I have been ordering quantities of this to serve as the base for my daily driver blend. PS41s cubes arrive intact and well preserved tiny cubes of burley and red VAs. Pretty nice on its own but I much prefer to mix as a 53.3% base of my go to burley/navy blend with an English seasoning (13% Latakia). I do press this blend into a larger brick of cake format and I feel like the cubes really assist with the process in keeping them compact and well distributed within the blend. Rating revised upward. Saw another reviewer had noted this was a cool smoke, while I initially found it nippy. Tried going from a standard pack to a gravity pack, and the heat issue went away completely. Love the cube cut. Easy to load, light and burn. Love the burley forward. This is good quality burley, too, that takes me back to when we grew it on our Tennessee farm. Nutty flavor up front, with earth and molasses, and sweetness from the Virginias not far behind. Medium strength, and could be an all day smoke if you’re an experienced smoker. With proper patience, a bowl can last you a good while....Read More
