Can’t stand STG but man this is good.

I won’t harp more on STG that being said this is the best VaBur plug on the market. The casings work so well with the tobacco melding into a deep slightly sweet smoke with malty ale like notes. I bought two tins about 2 years ago and wasn’t impressed, it tasted like hot air ( at the time I was a heavy Latakia smoker, and I didn’t prepare the plug the best). Over the years I found I loved burley specifically VaBurs and remembered I had this jarred. I cut it into thin flakes then give it another cross cut into thin cube cuts rubbed a bit out and let air dry for about 15-30 minutes. Loaded it up in a 320Ks and man I’m very impressed with this. Don’t sleep on it and prepare the plug right great stuff....Read More

Very nice. Tastes like sweet plum, with full and rich smoke. A great everyday smoke with no bite at all. Easy to prepare—just slice, rub out, let it sit for 15 minutes, then load your pipe and enjoy.
I truly wish they’d bring it back in bulk!

I bought a tin of this over a year ago. I liked the taste but didn’t like all the fuss of messing with a plug cut (I was new to pipe smoking). But I revisited it today, and man is it good!
